The Peripheral Vision series is an ongoing series that develops imagery and markings that are subconsciously applied while in the midst of other work. Over time the surface kept to the side and used for colour tests, mark making, brush clearing, scraping, excess paint left on the palette becomes layered with intriguing visions I use as the basis for the new work.
Artist Statement
The best advice I've come across about creating is "To create what you want to look at..." I love to look at work that is ambiguous and suggestive; work that leaves room for the imagination of the viewer. Thus, I aspire to create a spirited body of work I define as "otherly". My art is ever evolving based upon recent experiments, research, discoveries and inspirations.
